The medical camp in January 2025 was organised with the support of a local team and medical college students, who assisted with translation, clinic management, crowd control, registration, and errands.
Following a warm reception from participating institutions on the opening day, the clinics commenced and ran daily until the 6 February 2025. Clinic hours varied among institutions; with some institutions working until 4pm. The team expressed willingness to extend hours as needed.
Work was mainly on inpatient and some outpatients were seen.
We were disappointed that we lost out on two days due to a sudden outbreak of protest in Nitor and we were advised by the hospital management not to send the team to the hospital due to risk of safety. Unfortunately, the situation in Nitor didn’t improve so the team was directed to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) where there were many victims waiting to receive support. They worked there for two days supporting many patients and worked until 4pm each day having started the day at 7.30 am.
We are proud to announce the successful completion of our Medical Conference and Free Medical Camp held in Bangladesh in February 2024. This impactful initiative was designed to bring free, high quality healthcare services and health education to underserved communities and it delivered beyond expectations.
Throughout the duration of the camp, our dedicated medical team served thousands of patients with:
• General health check-ups
• Surgical interventions
• Specialised treatments
• Preventive screenings
• Rehabilitation and follow-up care
Our international medical conference featured guest lectures and presentations from foreign experts, sharing the latest breakthroughs and best practices in various medical fields.
This event served as a bridge between the local and international medical communities, fostering knowledge exchange and strengthening professional relationships.
A heartfelt thank you and we extend our deepest gratitude to our volunteers and medical professionals, our local partners and organising team and our donors and sponsors who made this possible. Your support has left a lasting impact on countless lives in Bangladesh.
This project was just the beginning. We are already planning future collaborations and medical outreach efforts. If you would like to get involved:
We’re building healthier communities and one life at a time.
